The Sustainability

Sustainable products and practices have been a part of Lovevery’s DNA since the brand launched in 2017. All Lovevery products ship carbon neutral with efficient and recyclable packaging to reduce waste and are crafted from materials like FSC-certified wood, organic cotton, OEKO-TEX® fabrics, handcrafted felt, recycled paper, soy-based ink, water-based paints, and even bio-based plastics. Lovevery also committed to the following sustainability goal: “By 2025, 90% of the materials used in our products and packaging will be made from renewable, biobased, or recycled materials that are verified by third parties.” (https://lovevery.com/pages/lovevery-commitment)

The Spark

The idea behind Lovevery started one day while the brand’s Cofounder, Jessica Rolph was watching her youngest play with a purple plastic toy with flashing lights. She began to question what toys like this were actually doing for her baby’s development.
Jessica was already deeply passionate about children’s health and learning. She felt confident about what she was feeding her baby because of her experience at Happy Family, as Cofounder & COO. But as she watched him that day, she started to wonder: what should she be doing to help her baby’s brain develop?
Jessica discovered a doctoral thesis on the infant brain that outlined detailed, nerdy, activities that she could do with her baby. It felt natural and simple, and she never looked at toys the same again. Jessica wanted to share that feeling of confidence with other parents. She joined forces with her Cofounder, Roderick Morris, a longtime friend who had deep experience in building mission-driven companies. Together, they started Lovevery.

The Differentiator

Lovevery recognizes that parenthood has changed dramatically and that today’s generation of parents craves something completely different. There is an overwhelming stream of information and options, but what parents are actually seeking is connection and a direct relationship with a brand that they trust. Lovevery offers a platform for parents to seek deeper insights and connection as part of a broader community. Lovevery offers something that previously hasn’t existed: a convenient, accessible and science-backed holistic resource for the early years.
Lovevery’s scientific approach makes world-class research and neuroscience simple, relevant and accessible to parents. Each product and resource is designed in-house with the support of Lovevery’s advisory board, consisting of experts from a wide range of disciplines, including pediatrics, occupational therapy, neuroscience, and more. The team obsesses over the research, not only to empower parents and instill confidence, but to also offer them greater convenience.
Lovevery makes child development information easily available to parents through their blog, podcast, social media channels and weekly development emails, as well as their Play Guides, which arrive with The Play Kits and The Play Gym.
